All of this to say, wether it be in terms of gameplay, story, depth, replayability, music, visual identity or lore, this game absolutely delivers in never before seen ways and is a must play for pretty much everyone in my opinion. The development of Android started in 2003 by Android, Inc., which was purchased by Google in 2005. The dialogues are funny, full of character and even pretty profound at times while never being just edgy despite the purgatory setting and the ending is magnificient and probably my favorite video game ending ever from a pure story point. Speaking of narrative, the story is surprisingly beautiful and I really didn't expect to be so invested in it. The songs manage to slap while perfectly encapsulating who or what they're about. All of those party members, locations, items and ennemies have peculiar and really well made designs that somehow all form a really coherent world and narrative all by themselves, all accompanied by a truly banger soundtrack so good that I listen to it outside of the game and for which words aren't enough. And the amount of encounters and depths the game has makes it well worth replaying over and over, I myself am at a point where I lost count of my finished runs and I still have so much to experience. The game constantly reinvents itself yet stays true to what it is at heart, and stays balanced troughout the whole experience despite all of the new varied and escalatingly complex ennemies thrown your way. All of this crammed into an amazingly inventive gameplay system that allows for great variety in party members, as mentionned, but also in ennemies and bosses, and the game delivers in this aspect as well, bringing a plethora of ennemies with original designs and gameplay all clearly different from each other and really complex bosses posing fun and unique challenges that will make you think and have an absolute blast. The amount of strategies to try out feels nearly endless yet all party members and items are distinct, bringing brand new archetypes as well as reimagining staples of the genre in unique ways. This game is a masterpiece and my go to recommendation to anyone looking for a new game to play that they haven't heard of.
